WHERE ARE THE DEAD?

Introduction:
 I. A lot of questions are being raised about this subject.
II. Definition of death. (Vine’s)
    A. The separation of the soul from the body.
    B. The separation of man from God.
Body:
   I. The three words translated “hell” in the King James       
      Translation:
        A. “Geenna” – the name of the valley outside of
           Jerusalem, which was so called from the cries of 
           the little children who were thrown into the 
           fiery arms of Moloch, an idol.  The Jews so 
           abhorred the place after these horrible 
           sacrifices had been abolished by King Josiah (2 
           Kings 23:10), that they cast into it not only 
           all manner of refuse, but even the dead bodies 
           of animals and unburied criminals who had been 
           executed.  Fires were always needed to consume 
           the dead bodies so that the air might not be 
           tainted by the putrefaction.
