THERE'S A GREAT DAY COMING

Introduction: There is a song that states that there will be a great
day coming one day. The Scriptures indeed teach this fact.
Body:
  I. There will be a great day when the saints and the sinners will
     be parted.
     A. This great day will be the day when Jesus comes again.
        1. Titus 2:13.
        2. Acts 1:10.
     B. No one knows when this great day will take place. Mk. 13:32.
     C. Jesus will judge us on this day.
        1. Acts 17:31.
        2. 2 Corinthians 5:10.
        3. Hebrews 9:27.
        4. John 12:48 (the standard by which we will be judged).

II. It will be a bright day for those who love the Lord.
     A. The ones who love the Lord are the ones who obey Him. John 14:15;
        Matthew 7:21-23; John 12:48.
     B. They will have a home in Heaven.
        1. 1 Peter 1:3-4.
        2. Matthew 25:34, 46.
        3. Revelation 21:4.
III. It will be a sad day for some.
     A. Matthew 7:13-14. (Unfortunately, the for majority of people,
it will be a sad day)
     B. II Thessalonians 1:7-9.
     C. Matthew 25:41, 46.
     D. Matthew 25:30.
     E. Mark 9:43-48.
     F. Revelation 21:8.
Conclusion:
 I. When this great day comes, is it going to be a bright day or a
    sad day for you?
II. If it is not going to be a bright day, then you need to:
    A. Do what they did on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:36-38.
    B. If you have done that, then you need to Repent, Confess, and
       Pray.
       1. Acts 8:22, 24
       2. 1 John 1:7-9.
