Isaiah 58:13-14

Argument:

1. We honor God by keeping Holy those things that He has made holy.
2. God has made the Sabbath holy.
3. Hence, all who are faithful and blessed keep the Sabbath correctly.

But:

1. To Whom Was Isaiah Speaking?
    A. The context shows he was speaking to the House of Jacob (Israel).
    B. Jacob was their father. Isaiah 58:1, 14.
    C. This passage has not one thing to do with what Christians must do in the Christian age.
    D. This is a call to the Jewish people to repent.
    E. This passage is not pointing out what faithful Christians must do.
