7. Not sell or buy. Nehemiah 13:15-21
8. A holy convocation. Leviticus 23:3
9. Sacrifice 2 lambs and 2 tenth deals of flour mingled with oil. Numbers 28:9-10

11. Violators to be put to death. Exodus 31:14-15; 35:1-2

Those today who claim to keep the Sabbath really are simply making a mockery of the Sabbath observance.

3. To whom was it given?  Israelites Deuteronomy 5, 2, 3, 5-22; 4:8; 1 Kings 8:9, 21
4. When was it given?  On Mt. Sinai ("Horeb") - about 1450 B.C. - Nehemiah 9:13-14; Exodus 16:22-30; 19:18-25; 20:1-17; Deuteronomy 4:10, 13
5. Why was it given?
   A. A sign between God and the Israelites. Exodus 31:13, 16-17; Ezekiel 20:12
   B. Because the Israelites were servants in Egypt and God delivered them. Deuteronomy 5:15
6. What Sabbath keeping required?
   A. Do no work. Exodus 20:8-11; 31:15: 35:2
   B. Kindle no fire. Exodus 35:3
   C. No baking or seetheing. Exodus 16:23
