Clarifying the Issue: #1.
I AM NOT DENYING:
- I am not denying God's wisdom.
- I am not denying God's knowledge.
- I am not denying God's foreknowledge.
- I am not denying that God saves whom He will.
- I am not denying God's power to cause whatsoever he may purpose to come to
pass.
- I am not denying that God purposed, predestinated that certain things
would come to pass that His will might be fulfilled.
- I am not denying that God did show His power in various ways in times
past.
- I am not denying that God has used means and influences upon man to
accomplish His purposes.
- I am not denying that God has an elect or chosen people.
- I am not denying God's Sovereign Grace.
Clarifying the Issue: #2.
WHAT I AM DENYING:
- That the Scriptures teach that God so willed to so irresistibly influence
specific individuals so that they have no choice but to continue to grow
spiritually, and to continue in the doctrine of Christ and good works.
- That the Scriptures teach that all who have been truly engrafted into
Christ either were or would be so irresistibly influenced that they
continued to grow spiritually, or continued in the doctrine of Christ and
good works, and so that they could not fail to obtain eternal life in the
age to come.
