Potatoes with White Sauce

Potatoes (peeled and cut up into chunks) *

Flour (amount depends on how many potatoes)

Cheese (optional)

Boil potatoes in water. Mix flour with some water. After the potatoes are done (do not drain the potatoes), add the flour and water mixture. If you add cheese, add it at this time. The hot water will thicken the flour and water mixture and melt the cheese.

Season with butter, salt, and pepper to taste.

* My family’s rule of thumb is one potato for each person plus one extra potato (two if small potatoes).
