OUR RELATIONSHIP TO OTHERS
Text: Leviticus 19
I. In the first 2 verses of Leviticus 19, Jehovah tells
Moses to speak to the children of Israel.
A. He is to tell them to be holy.
B. Why? “For I Jehovah your God is holy.”
II. Jehovah goes on to point out the ways in which the
children of Israel were to be holy.
III. For our lesson this morning, I would like to go
through this chapter and notice the verses that deal
with our relationships with others.
Body:
I. Leviticus 19:3 “Ye shall fear every man his mother
and his father...”
A. Some other translations: “Revere”, “give due
respect” (Amp. Bible)
B. Ephesians 6:1-2
C. Romans 1:30, 32; 2 Timothy 3:2, 5.
II. Leviticus 19:9-10
A. The farmers were not to reap every bit of the
harvest, but leave some for the poor.
B. Examples of some who took advantage of this law.

III. Leviticus 19:11-12
A. “You shall not steal” – Ephesians 4:28 (Working at
Wal-Mart, I have seen where people have stolen
items that are worth 97 cents or less.)
B. “neither deal falsely" (Leviticus 19:35-36).
1. God has never approved of this, and when a
nation or a person was guilty of this, God
would bring judgment upon it.

1. “Golly” – Euphemistic alter. of God.
2. “Gee” – (gee whiz) a euphemism for Jesus.
3. “Heck” – Slang Hell; an euphemism.

1. Thoughtfulness and help to those physically less
fortunate than ourselves is expected by God.

A. God is no respecter of persons.
