Men’s Ways are Not God’s Ways!

Men’s Ways:
 1. Just be good and God will save you.
 2. Saved by faith only
 3. You are saved, then you may be baptized to get into the 
    church of your choice.
 4. Just repent and pray to God and He will save you.
 5. Baptism is not essential to salvation.
 6. Infants should be baptized.
 7. Sprinkling or pouring may be used for baptism.
 8. Any church will do.
 9. There is nothing in a name.
10. Only the elect can be saved.
11. Nothing to do to be saved.
12. Once saved, always saved.
13. Instrumental music in worship is alright.
14. Take the Lord’s Supper occasionally.
15. May attend if I feel like it.
God’s Ways:
 1. He did not save Cornelius until he obeyed. Acts 10; Hebrews 
    5:8-9
 2. Not saved by faith only. James 2:14-24
 3. Be baptized for the remission of sins, then the Lord will 
    add you to His church. Acts 2:38, 47
 4. “Arise and be baptized and wash away thy sins.” Acts 22:16; 
    See also Mark 16:16.
 5. It is the only way to get into Christ. Romans 6:4; Galatians 
    3:27
 6. Only Penitent believers can be baptized. Acts 2:38; 22:16; 
    Mark 16:16
 7. Only a burial in water is scriptural. Romans 6:4; Colossians 
    2:12
 8. One church. Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 
    4:4; 1 Corinthians 12:12-25.
 9. Salvation in Christ’s name. Acts 4:12
10. “Whosoever will.” Revelation 22:17
11. Must obey. Matthew 7:15-26; Hebrews 5:9
12. May fall from grace. Galatians 5:4
13. Only vocal music is scriptural. Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 
    3:16
14. First day of the week. Acts 20:7
15. Forsake not the assembling. Hebrews 10:25
