   a. Illustration: if 50% of the members of your body were 
      paralyzed you would be very restricted in what you 
      can do.
   b. Make application to church.
      1. Illustration of fishing – Matthew 17:27 – Go, cast 
         a hook- take a fish.
         a. If all go the lake or stream and all have 
            equipment and only the preacher baits a hook 
            cast it in the water
         b. Not be nearly as many fish caught as could be 
            if everyone baited hook and cast it into water 
            to take a fish.
8. How old does a Christian have to be to fish for souls? – 
   Emphasize young people at work.
9. The Gospel seed must be sown – Luke 8:
   a. Reaping will be in proportion to the amount of seed 
      sown.
   b. Haggai 2:19 – Raises question, “Is the Seed still in 
      the barn?”  If so, no harvest. Kind of seed and way 
      sown.
10. Not baptizing as many people as we used to: Why?
    a. Is the Gospel still God’s power?
    b. Is the seed still as powerful?
11. If we sow 3 times the amount of seed, we should get 3 
    times the results.  Will also take more care.

12. Everything God Created – He created to reproduce.
    a. We are created in Christ Jesus unto good works. 
       Ephesians 2:10
    b. Zealous. Titus 2:14
    c. Proverbs 11:30 – “He that winneth souls is wise.”
13. Why are we not doing this work? James 4:17
    a. Deceived ourselves into thinking that all that is 
       involved in going to heave is 
       (1) obeying the gospel (baptism) 
       (2) assembling to worship (AM not PM).
    b. Become satisfied with “holding our own.”
          i. There is nothing in the Bible about a 
             fighting, holding action to hold own.
         ii. Note the militancy of early church.
        iii. Filled Jerusalem with the doctrine. Acts 5:27-
             28.
         iv. They that were scattered abroad went 
             everywhere preaching the word. Acts 8:4
          v. In the temple and every house. Acts 5:42
         vi. Turned the world upside down. Acts 17:6
        vii. Carried the Gospel to every creature in one 
             generation. Colossians 1:28
       viii. Go ye therefore into the highways. Matthew 
             22:11-12; Luke 14:20-23.
14. The Jews rebuilt because they had a mind to work.
