Foreword

The material in these outlines and lessons has been used successfully by the author in both sermons and class studies. They are presented in this study book form with a fervent prayer that they might be used as a means to win souls to Christ, draw children of God closer to the Lord through an increased understanding of God’s will and that they might be as meaningful to others as they have been to the author.

These books are designed so that they may be used in regular Bible classes or for in depth, intensified study classes. Outlines of each chapter with comments and related passages have been included. The outlines and comments have been arranged as to analyze and break the text down into its component parts and allow the text to be its own commentary.

An effort has been made to keep the study questions very simple. No effort has been made to skip about in the text or to use trick questions. A sincere effort has been made, however, to arrange the questions so that when a student answers the questions they will have a thorough knowledge of the text. There are occasions where three or possibly four questions have been asked concerning one verse. These questions have been arranged with the hope that they will, by the students answering of them, help the student to become analytical in their reading and study of the New Testament.

Having prepared this material over several years for use in sermons and classes taught personally, thoughts and ideas which may have been borrowed from others have become so interwoven with my own that it would be impossible for me to give full credit to all to whom I am deeply and gratefully indebted.

Recognizing that the majority of the students who may use this study book will be using the King James Version of the Bible, I have used and followed text.
