Chart #60 Faith Is an Act Performed by Man

  1. John 3:18 - "He that believeth on him is not condemned: But he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the begotten son of God."
  2. John 3:36 - "And he that believeth not the son shall not see life."
  3. John 8:24 - "For if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins."
  4. Acts 16:30-31 - "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?  And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ..."
  5. Romans 10:10 - "With the heart man believeth unto righteousness."
  6. Romans 5:2 - "We have access by faith into this grace."  No faith - No grace.
  7. Ephesians 2:8 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith."

Man is not saved before faith, but through faith.  Faith is an act performed by man.  Therefore salvation is conditional on man's part.
