Judas Iscariot - A Case of Apostasy
Some contend that Judas was a devil from the beginning, but there is no
passage in the Bible that so reads, nor from which such a conclusion can be
drawn. Let my opponent endeavor to prove that Judas was a devil from the
beginning.
What the passage says is that "one of you is a devil" -- John 6:70,
which is a far cry from saying that he was one from the beginning.
The Truth About Judas is That:
a. Judas was a disciple of Christ - Matthew 10:1.
b. Judas was an apostle of Christ - Matthew 10:2.
c. Judas was given power - Matthew 10:8.
d. Judas was given to Christ - John 17:12.
e. Judas was a sheep - Matthew 10:16.
f. But Judas "lost his first estate and by transgression
fell and went to his own place." Acts 1:25.
g. And Jesus said that Judas became the
"son of perdition" - John 17:12.
Judas Was Not a Devil From the Beginning.
a. "Then entered Satan into Judas." - Luke
22:3.|
