Boiled Custard
8 eggs (beaten)
4 cups sugar
2 quarts milk
2 or 3 tablespoons flour
Beat the eggs.
Add sugar and flour.
Add milk.
Then cook in double boiler stirring frequently until it coats on spoon. Add
vanilla to taste.
When done, cover until it cools to keep a film from developing on the top.
This recipe can be halved.
As long as Mother was able to fix this, this was a staple at Thanksgiving and
Christmas for the family.
This is a recipe that Mother got from her mother.
