It is Possible for a Brother to Err From the Truth. James 5:19
- James refers to him as a brother.
- James refers to him as a sinner.
- To convert such an erring brother from the error of his way is to save a
soul from death. James 5:20
Chart #40 Children of Kingdom Cast Out.
- John 3:3-5. "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of
water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
- Matthew 13:41-43 (47-50). "The Son of man shall send forth his
angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that
cause stumbling, and them that do iniquity, and shall cast them
(those gathered out of His kingdom) into the furnace of fire: there
shall be the weeping and gnashing of teeth."
- Matthew 8:11-12. "But the sons of the kingdom shall be cast forth
into the outer darkness."
Note:
- Only children of God (those born again) are in the kingdom.
- But some of the kingdom are to be cast out into the furnace of fire.
- Therefore, some children of God are to be cast into Hell.
Chart #41 Passages Which Clearly Show That Men Would, Could, and Did
Apostatize.
- 1 Timothy 4:1 - "The Spirit speaketh expressly...some shall depart
from the faith.
- 1 Timothy 1:19 - Some make shipwreck of the faith.
a. A man cannot thrust away a faith that he never had, nor a good conscience
that he never possessed, nor shipwreck a faith that never existed.
b. A conscience that had never been pure could not be corrupted; a faith
never held could not be cast away; and faith that never had been established
in the heart could not be shipwrecked.
c. Of those guilty - Paul calls two of them by name - and declares that he
had "delivered them to Satan."
d. Is that Paul's way of saying that they went to heaven??
- 1 Timothy 6:10, 21 - Some have erred from the faith.
- 1 Timothy 5:8 - Some have denied the faith, and are worse than an infidel.
- 1 Timothy 5:15 - Some have already turned aside after Satan.
Note: The word "Faith" in all of these passages is the same
Greek word which is found in Romans 5:1 "Justified by faith" and in 2
Timothy 4:7 "I have kept the faith" and in all the verses that refer
to the faith that saves.

- Have our faith "Shipwrecked" -- 1 Timothy 1:19.
- May "Depart from" the Faith -- 1 Timothy 4:1.
- One may "Deny" the faith -- 1 Timothy 5:8
- We may "Cast off" our faith -- 1 Timothy 5:12
- May "err" concerning the Faith -- 1 Timothy 6:21.
- Have our Faith "Overthrown" -- 2 Timothy 2:18.
Note:
- Can one depart from the faith, turn aside from faith, cast off his faith,
have his faith shipwrecked, and still be saved by faith????
- Paul said the ones who cast off their first faith had Damnation!! 1
Timothy 5:12
- The ones who deny the faith are Worse Than an Infidel.
- Question: Can one who is Worse Than an Infidel, and one who has Damnation
be saved???
